The Center for Animal Health & Welfare has initiated several programs to help make our no-kill mission possible. If you would like more information on any of our programs, please contact us at (610) 252-7722.
Spay/Neuter Clinic
We have implemented a comprehensive spay/neuter program that allows for low
or no cost surgeries for feral and stray cats. Four days a week, dedicated
veterinarians and volunteers help to perform 100+ surgeries to help prevent
and manage the animal overpopulation crisis. Low income families are
also welcome to use these services ofor their pets. This program benefits
all of the Center’s animals, since all animal are spayed or neutered
before they are adopted from our organization/
Foster Families
Animals that enter the shelter that are very young, ill, injured or need a
psychological break from the shelter are all candidates for our Foster program. These
animals live with families outside of the shelter until they are ready to
be spayed or neutered and adopted. Foster families allow us to take
in more animals in need and also help to cut down on costs of staffing and
food.
Creative and Aggressive Adoption Programs
We have developed an adoption program that reaches out to the community so
that our animals are seen at Pet stores, community events, and wherever we
are welcome to bring them, with the hope of finding them their forever home. We
have recently bought a bus to help us reach out to the community and increase
our adoptions.
Emergency 24-7 Care for injured stray animals
No matter what time of day or night our emergency on call staff will rescue
injured animals and provide them with the needed care.
Cruelty Investigation
Our certified Humane Police Officer investigates all incidents of cruelty and
abuse and will educate and/or prosecute when warranted.
Relinquishment and Re-homing Services
We provide counseling and when possible, help owners re-home their pets when
they can no longer provide a home for them. We believe pets are a lifelong
commitment; however, when that is not possible we try to help.
We are constantly striving to improve our programs to save more lives and try to find each animal that passes through our door a home that they can feel safe in.
